It’s getting chilly out there! I’ve been thinking a lot about how this cold, dark season affects us all so differently and yet what is required is the same.
Winter really has its own medicine and if we lean in we can hear our body and nature whispering to us, “slow down, girl.”
But we are really listening…
I’ve been having conversations on my stories about being fluent in your body’s language. What I could say is, many of us are missing the cues she’s been sending us all along.
And for now we’ll sit here and listen to what our body needs for this season, Winter.
But don’t worry in here to serve you some winter medicine.
During this time your body slows down, asking for rest, warmth, and nourishment.
Have you noticed yourself feeling:
- Extra fatigued
- Craving comfort foods
- Feeling moodier than usual
- Becoming introspective
- Craving depth
These and more are all signs of your body saying “Hey, I need a little more care.”
Here’s a quick breakdown of what some winter-specific signals may mean:
🌙 Fatigue: Your body’s natural rhythm is asking for more rest and slower mornings.
🍲 Comfort Food Cravings: It’s time for warm, grounding meals to fuel your energy and digestion.
💤 Mood Swings: Could be a call for sunlight, connection, or a simple letting-go ritual.
🤔Reflections by the Fire: This slower pace is perfect for looking back at our year. It’s our chance to let go of what’s not working and set intentions that really resonate with us.
☕️ Heartfelt Chats: There’s something about winter that makes heart-to-heart conversations over hot chocolate so much more special, right?
I’m curious, love, how does winter medicine make you feel?
Is your body whispering any secrets to you that you’re just not figuring out?
