Let's talk about mindset and mindfulness.

I used to give this one an eye roll.. but that was back then now I know better here's why.

Can we talk about Mindset/ Mindfulness this week?

I remember rolling my eyes every time I heard these words, but little did I know that it would be a key component in helping myself and the ladies that I have worked with.

Mindset: The rules that you have set for yourself to live by, either consciously or unconsciously.

Mindfulness: Being aware of what's happening in your mind, body, and surroundings.

I think defining these terms removes the mystery behind them.

We are doing these things in our minds regardless of what we call them.

I knew that this subject matter had to be discussed more deeply in Flourish by Design.

The whole 2nd module “The Emotion Trap” is dedicated and breaks this all down.

I mean… Emotions, feelings,  mindset, and mindfulness all affect the body.

Where the mind goes, the body follows…

💅🏼1- My take on Mindset/Mindfulness

I recorded this on my stories yesterday and boy oh boy did it get them talking.

(Which I love)

But here it is for you in case you missed it.

🔧1 tool-

If you heard the video above you also heard me talk about affirmations…

and again here I go to remove the mystery behind the word.

Affirmations: to make firm in your mind by the process of repetition.

Nothing whoo-whoo about that, right?

People do this all the time with religious text and it can be done with anything you want to make a part of you.

Here's the caveat… If you want to make your own try not to use the words “No”, "not", “can't” or “Never”.

I have a couple for you here on health and wellness:

-I love being in balance

-I am healthy and strong

-I digest my food properly

-My mind is at ease

-My body knows exactly what to do

-My vision is 20/20

-My hair is nice and strong

-I'm living the life that I want

-Life is sweet

-I can take the time to have fun

-I am whole

Take the one that was the toughest for you to believe or say and say it to yourself for the next 21 days. This will cause it to become FIRM in your mind.

Remember, wherever the mind goes, the body follows.

Here's mine… it's on a sticky note and placed where I can see it.

This time change has really done a number on me but instead of saying "I'm so tired with the time change, I say this ⬇️⬇️⬇️.

🌶️1 Question-

Now it's your turn… I wanna hear from you.

Were any of these affirmations tough for you to repeat or believe about yourself?

Or did you create your own?

Xo, Natalie
